Frequently Asked Questions and Answers Question: Is there a room charge to use the facility? Answer: Generally, to rent the facility there is a $100.00 per hour charge. However, we realize that workshop training and seminars may last all day. For these types of events, a special rate may apply. There is a 20% service charge applied to all charges for events held at our facility. Question: What is the deposit amount to reserve a specific date? Answer: Deposits are based upon the size of each event. They are non-refundable since we hold the space for you and turn away other bookings. Your balance is due 10 days prior to the event date with your guaranteed number of guests. If we do not recieve a guaranteed number of guests, we will use the original number given upon booking. Question: Do you provide tables, chairs, tablecloths, china and silver? Answer: Yes, we do when your event is being held at our facility. When your event is off premises, we provide paper plates, napkins and utensils at no additional charge. We can also provide white table linens for off-premise events at a charge of $3.00 per table. Question: What would it cost to use your facility for a wedding reception? Answer: It depends on your food package, number of guests and the duration of your event. There is a minimum of $2,500 for an event on Saturday evenings. This is just a guideline to go by and is inclusive of all charges. Question: Does Savoie's have decorations available? Answer: No, the rooms are very elegant. Most customers only want something for the tables. This would be your individual choice and you must provide those. Any decorations other than centerpieces must be approved by Savoie's prior to your event. We will have holiday decorations up during the holiday season. Question: Is there a restriction on decorations? Answer: Yes, only a few. No tape, nails, glue on any of the walls. No glitter or confetti on any table. If you have any other questions about your decoration choices, it is best to ask before purchasing them. Question: When can we come to decorate? Answer: We will allow an hour prior to your even time for decorating. If we do not have an event prior to yours, we will allow you to come in sooner. For receptions that will use the entire building and are planning extensive decorating, we will block more time prior to your start time. Question: Can I bring in any food or beverages of my own? Answer: No. We will allow you to bring in a Bride's cake and/or Groom's cake. There is a fifty cent charge per person for us to provide the china, silverware and drape/skirt a table for your cakes. We will also cut and serve the cake for you after you cut it. Question: What is the difference between a cash bar and a host bar? Answer: A cash bar is set up for your guests to purchase their own drinks. For any bar, there is a bartender fee of $50. A host bar is totaled at the end of the evening and the host pays the entire bill. Question: Is there any way we can provide only beer and wine to our guests and if they want mixed drinks, they can purchase them? Answer: Yes. We can do any one of combinations for a bar. You can set up a dollar limit. Once this limit is reached, we can turn the bar into a cash bar. We can let you know when it gets close so that you can make an informed decision to continue or not. You may purchase wine or beer alone or keg beer. We will customize to fit your budget and preference. |
